Iranian Tea Appreciated at Japanese Museum Exhibit

TEHRAN TIMES ECONOMIC DESK TEHRAN, Sept. 7, (Tehran Times) Iranian tea was on display at the leading Japanese museum of tea, Kanaya, where visitors got to know 90 different types of tea from 25 countries, an official announced here Sunday.

Kanaya Museum of Tea was established in 1998 and it was the first time Iran was participating in such an event.

 

"Let's Have a Trip to the World of Tea," was this exhibition's motto, while people could read "Welcome to Iranian Caspian Sea Tea" over the entrance.

 

Deputy Head of the Art Bureau of Islamic Propagation Organization for economic affairs Abdulsamad Gharavi said our five kinds of tea with tastes of lemon, sour orange, cinnamon, cardamom, and breakfast were widely welcomed by visitors.

 

"The official of the museum asked us to provide them with traditional tea producing equipment," Gharavi said.

 

“In order to introduce Iranian tea to the world, the Art Bureau has spent Rls.50 million ($5000) for making documentaries,” he added.
