The Iranian 1st VP, while stepping aside the presidential elections, invited all to vote for the reformist candidate Hassan Rouhani,
“Along with you, I will vote for Rouhani,” said Jahangiri inviting all reformists, principlists and moderates to do the same.
The reformist candidate announced his withdrawal in the final moments of his speech at Shahid Dastgheib Stadium of the southern Iranian city of Shiraz and urged the nation to cast votes in favor of Rouhani.
“Reformist leaders, including ex-president Mohammat Khatami, had urged me to enter the scene of election campaigns,” highlighted Jahangiri stressing that his presence was aimed to support Rouhani.
