World suffering terrorism after plotting against Syria

TEHRAN, Oct. 20 (MNA) – Iran's ambassador to Damascus, Mohammad Reza Raouf Sheybani, condemned some countries’ support for anti-Syria plots which led to spread of terrorism in the world.

“The longer the crisis lasts in Syria, the more of the hidden aspects of it get exposed,” said Iran's ambassador to Damascus, Mohammad Reza Raouf Sheybani on Wednesday at opulent Four Seasons Hotel of Damascus where he was granted the highest honorary title of the Syrian Arab Republic for his five year service in the war-torn country.

“Now it has been revealed to the public opinion of the world with no doubt that the current terrorism spread all over the world threatening all nations is the result of the civil war plotted against Syria,” stressed the Iranian diplomat, “the Islamic Republic of Iran, in all the developments of the last ten years has remained the strategic ally of Syria and now it has become more determined to continue its support for the people and government of Syria.”

He maintained that the traditional ties of the two countries were bolstered in this era and Iran remained as a reliable source of support for Syria. Raouf Sheybani reassured that the sacrifices made by all Iranians and Syrians will fruit sweetly in the near future.

“Unfortunately the role of some foreign players in the crisis has been based on wrong calculations and have led to the spread of terrorism, Takfirism and all other sorts of it in the world,” asserted the Iranian diplomat, “what is now evident in the world is the result of those wrong decisions.”

The ambassadors of Russia, China, Venezuela, Algiers along with Iran’s deputy ambassador to Damascus and Faisal Mekdad, the Syrian Deputy-Foreign Minister, were the guest attending the ceremony.
