President Rouhani boasts brain power of nation

TEHRAN, Jun. 30 (MNA) – Iran’s President Rouhani elaborated on the bright prospect ahead of the country at an Iftar banquet he held for a select group of young academicians and university students on Wednesday in Tehran.

“The new condition in Iran, since two years ago, has caused the return of the Iranian brains to their homeland, to the extent that within the last couple of months, 200 graduated Iranians, 50 of them graduated from the top 10 universities of the world, have returned to Iran,” said President Hassan Rouhani of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the Iftar banquet he held for a select group of young academicians and university students on Wednesday in Tehran.

The Iranian president described the event as a sign for restoration of hope in Iran and after winning the ovation of the attendants in the hall added that, ‘even those Iranians who have migrated to other countries are still passionate about Iran.’

“It may be possible to have better preliminaries in abroad but we need to tolerate the hardships for our motherland,” asserted Rouhani inviting all Iranians to self-sacrifice for their country.

He also referred to 4.8 million Iranian students highlighting that 18.5 percent of them are studying in post-graduate programs, and acknowledged them as a big asset for Iran.  

“Iran is the fifth country in the world with the highest number of engineering graduates, and the first in the basic sciences,” articulated Mr. Rouhani.

He also reiterated that his administration has been, from the very first day, geared for providing the educated with the suitable context for growth and boasted that great measures have been taken for this cause.
