Ayatollah Sadegh Amoli Larijani who was addressing a meeting of Judiciary high-ranking officials on Monday, lamented that ‘pitfalls and challenges’ facing the branch would underestimate the achievements of the Judiciary in serving the nation in the eyes of the public; “the staggering 15 million lawsuits filed annually poses inordinate amount of challenge to the Judiciary which is beyond the branch’s capacities and resources; this huge amount naturally brings about lengthy court processions and long-delayed verdicts otherwise could be given in comparably less time,” Ayatollah Amoli told the meeting. “The problem rises from severe paucity of human and financial resources, and I would invite the branch’s staff to brace for restrictions in their work conditions to bring justice to the downtrodden and unprivileged public in a framework informed by morality and a strong resolve to serve the nation.”
Elsewhere in his address, Judiciary head suggested coming under the umbrella of the unifying element of the Establishment, that is, Leadership; “this umbrella is constitutional and is enshrined in Article 57 of the Constitution; no trace of the rift among the officials and the political parties would be left to be abused by the enemies who would grasp every opportunity to undermine the system’s healthy functioning,” he emphasized.
Ayatollah Amoli Larijani also hailed liberation of Fallujah by Iraqi government and public forces, while offering congratulation for the event; “supporters of ISIL should by now find out that their future would not be expected inside Iraq, and that the campaign would not be stopped until liberation of all Iraqi territories from under terrorists; unity and sense of solidarity of the nation along with spiritual supports of the clerical order should not be ignored in advancing the liberation efforts,” he told the meeting.
