The forthcoming ITTF 2016 World Tour German Open, a Super Series tournament, will be held in in the Max-Schmeling-Halle in the capital city of Berlin from Wednesday 27th January to Sunday 31st January.
Nima Alamian and Pouria Omrani would represent Iran in the German tournament while they had previously participated at the Hungarian Open.
According to the draw, Alamian and Omrani will play against German and Slovakian tennis players, respectively.
Nima Alamian who holds ITTF world ranking of 116 is scheduled to face Dang Qiu of Germany with the 272nd ranking while Pouria Omrani with the 406th ranking will compete against Peter Sereda of Slovakia with a ranking of 140.
The World Tour German Open to be held under the auspices of International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) will offer 110 thousand dollars of prize money.
Iran’s Noshad Alamian had to withdraw from the tournament due to injury.
