Iran's ties with European countries friendly

TEHRAN, Jan. 18 (MNA) – President Rouhani described Iran’s relations with the European countries, including Luxembourg, as traditional and amicable.

“Parliamentary ties, as well as the implementation of JCPOA, can lay the ground for better relations between the two countries and offer new conditions which can help expand ties between Iran and Luxembourg,” said Rouhani in a meeting with the President of Luxembourg’s Chamber of Deputies Mars Di Bartolomeo here on Sunday.

Pointing to Iran and the 5+1 nuclear talks as an indication of a great achievement through the history of world diplomacy and dialogue, Rouhani added the final agreement showed any complicated issues can be solved through discussion.

Rouhani touched upon the issues the world and the region are facing, of which terrorism is the most dangerous one. “The destructive acts by terrorists against people’s lives and civilization makes us be more concerned over unity among all nations throughout the world against the ruinous phenomenon.”

President Rouhani reiterated that Iran and Luxembourg can consult in all-out regional and international issues, expressing Iran’s readiness to cooperate with other world countries to solve issues.

Bartolomeo, for his part, felicitated the implementation of JCPOA and Iran’s success after two years of intensive nuclear negotiations with the world leaders and said, “The success of diplomacy and the trust would provide a trustful ground for achieving peace and stability in all parts of the world.”

Calling for expansion of ties between the two countries in all areas, Bartolomeo underlined the development of Iran’s relations with European countries as positive.

Noting that terrorists seek to destroy humanity in the world, Di Bartolomeo said terrorism aims to sow discord among nations.

“We should be cautious and united against them in order to be able to solve issues,” he concluded.
