The collapse of a crane in Al-Masjid al-Haram (The Holy Mosque) in Mecca last week caused the death of more than 100 Hajj pilgrims among them some Iranians.
Underlining the accountability of the Saudi government in the deadly crane collapse, Amir-Abdollahian said the bodies of Iranian pilgrims died in the Mecca accident arrived in Mashhad earlier today and are planned to be transferred to Tehran by a Mashhad-Tehran flight.
Iran will continue to dispatch seasonal Hajj pilgrims to Mecca on condition that the Saudi side provides guarantees that Iranian pilgrims' security and safety is completely addressed and necessary rulings and assurances are in place that the two offending officers in the Jeddah Airport are punished, he added.
