Al-Hakim met with a delegation of the Al-Wataniyah Alliance in the capital and stressed the need of achieving that the reforms implemented by Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi be in accordance with the law and Constitution.
For that, the Shia religious leader also urged to back regulations that support the reforms themselves.
The Al-Wataniyah representatives praised Al-Hakim's initiatives and his efforts to preserve and consolidate Iraq's stability, while tries to come points of view and projects in different sectors closer, even some of other ethnic-religious creeds.
The meeting came after statements made by the Parliament Speaker of Iraq, Salim Al-Jubouri, urging the UN and other international actors to play a major role in promoting national reconciliation in Iraq.
During a meeting with the UN Secretariat General special representative for Iraq, Jan Kubis, Al-Jubouri reviewed the latest political and security events, but made emphasis in the implementation of laws by the chamber and the promotion of reconciliation among Iraqis.
