President praises nuclear negotiators

TEHRAN, Jul. 08 (MNA) – President Hassan Rouhani has commended Iran’s negotiating team who are "bravely defending the national rights and interests of Iran."

Addressing a gathering of university professors in Tehran on Tuesday night, Rouhani said “I am proud of the brave sons of the country in nuclear talks who will keep defending our nation’s rights until the end.”

Noting the vital role of universities and professors in providing the students and the society with facts, president stated, “The society has to learn how to create toleration, a fair space and how to deal with the world.”

Hoping for success in nuclear negotiations, he underlined that the negotiators are using the knowledge and power they have acquired during their education to defend Iran’ rights today.

Iran and the 5+1 countries - the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany – have been engaged in crucial nuclear talks in the Austrian capital to reach a deal over Tehran’s nuclear program. Missing an initial deadline of June 30, all parties agreed on a new, July 7. However, the negotiators agreed to extend the deadline until Friday, July 10.
