100% rise in foreign submission to Khwarizmi Intl. Award

TEHRAN, Jan. 07 (MNA) – Head of Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology announced that submission of foreign projects to secretariat of 28th KIA shows a significant increase.

Ahmad Akbari, while pointing to the 100% growth of external submissions, said “in 28th festival we have 243 projects from 47 countries, and the major fields include basic sciences, biotechnology, environment, medical science, nanotechnology, chemical industries, metallurgy, electricity and computer, agriculture and natural resources, mechanics, mechatronics, industries, and management.

The submitted projects are from different countries; however, they are 47% from Asia, 42% from Europe, 5% from Americas, 4% from Africa, and 2% from Oceania, he added.

The festival will be held this winter, March 3 and 4.
