Kourosh Fattahi made the remarks on Monday, adding that during the period the Kish International Airport has had 210 international flights which had handled 11,199 arriving passengers and 10,836 departing passengers.
According to this report, comparison between flights and passengers in the first 9 months of the Iranian calendar with the same period of time last year shows one percent increase in domestic flights and a ten percent growth in international flights.
During this nine-month time span, some 17,000 flights carrying about 2 million passengers have landed and taken off at Kish International Airport.
Kish International Airport located on Kish Island in the Persian Gulf is the third busiest airport by passenger traffic in Iran, after Tehran and Mashhad airports.
