44th Intl. Roshd Filmfest to open in Gorgan

TEHRAN, Nov. 16 (MNA) – Forty-fourth International Roshd Film Festival kicked off in Gorgan Capri Campus with the presence of officials, educators, students and the general public in Iran’s Northern Province of Golestan.

At the opening on Saturday afternoon, Director General of Golestan province's Education Office Mohammad Reza Vatani said that Roshd International Filmfest explores to review the scientific, educational and training activities which began its work since 1963, entitled as 'International Festival of Informative Films', to  exchange globally educational and visual events among different countries.

Vatani said Roshd Filmfest works on educational films, documentaries, short and long animation, cliparts as well as educational story films for children and adolescents.

Highlighting the key role of art in training, he added that the festival is an international means to educate students through which countries get familiar with the customs and cultures of each other.
