“Last Uncounted Village” wins award at Imago Festival

TEHRAN, Oct. 27 (MNA) -- The Iranian short film “The Last Uncounted Village” directed by Shahram Alidi won the Audience’s Prize at the Imago International Film Festival, which was held in Portugal from October 2 to 9.

The film had previously won an award at the 20th Hamburg International Short Film Festival (June 9-14), which is the third most prestigious film festival in Germany after the Berlin and Mannheim festivals.

 

The short film was also screened at fifteen international festivals and received awards at the Tehran Short Film Festival and the Sony Film Festival.

 

The film tells the story of a government census officer tasked with counting the people in a village high in the mountains of Kurdistan. He comes to a river without a bridge and then tries to find his way.
