Sweden Doesn't Interfere In Iran's Internal Affairs: Embassy

TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) – Sweden Embassy in Tehran on Sunday rejected any support for the recent unrests and emphasized on the expansion of relations with Iran.

"The Sweden foreign minister's remarks are made in the framework of the political developments. It does not mean the government of Sweden interferes in Iran's domestic affairs," an informed source in the Sweden foreign ministry told Mehr News Agency.

Media perceptions regarding the support for the students' protests could not be true because Sweden has always been pursuing to boost its relations with Iran, the source added.

The comment was made following Sweden foreign minister's “support” for the students' riots expressed at a gathering participated by a small number of counter-revolutionaries residing in Sweden.
