Tehran show highlights Kermanshah attractions

TEHRAN, Sept. 19 (MNA) -- The Niavaran Cultural Center is hosting the Kermanshah cultural festival, displaying the ritual, art and beauty of this province.

The opening ceremony of the festival was held on Friday attended by the Deputy Culture Minister for Artistic Affairs Hamid Shahabadi and several other officials and artists.

“This is the sixth regional festival to introduce Tehran citizens with rituals and artistic activities of Iranian provinces and this is a success for artistic affairs,” Shahabadi mentioned.

He also admired folklore music of Kermanshah calling it “epic music” and also pointed to the fine art creations, handicrafts, and dramatic arts of the province.

Afterward, the director of the ministry of culture’s office in Kermanshah Mohammad Aftabi spoke about the event pointing to the rich culture of Kermanshah.

The governor of Kermanshah Davash Hashemi also spoke at the ceremony saying that such events can introduce the capabilities of provinces to Iranians.

At the end of the ceremony, Bijan Arjan recited poems in Turkish and Tanbur Navazan Bisotun ensemble performed musical selections.
