Borrell condoles Raeisi's martyrdom to Iran interim FM

TEHRAN, May 28 (MNA) – Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy has offered condolences over the martyrdom of President Ebrahim Raeisi and his companions to caretaker foreign minister of Iran.

EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell expressed his condolences to Acting Foreign Minister of Iran Ali Bagheri following the crash of the helicopter carrying the martyred president and his foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

I would like to express my condolences over the demise of President Ebrahim Raeisi and Foreign Minister Dr. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and other officials in these saddening moments, Borrell said in his message to Bagheri

As you know, I was in constant contact with the late Amir-Abdollahian, including during difficult times, the EU top diplomat's message further read.

I would be grateful if you could convey my condolences to his family, he concluded.
