Kermanshah-Isparta direct flight begins

TEHRAN, Mar. 19 (MNA) – Director of Shahid Ashrafi Airport has announced launching of the first direct flight between Iran’s Kermanshah and Isparta city in Turkey.

Director of Kermanshah's Shahid Ashrafi International Airport Peiman Shorafaei said the first direct flight between Kermanshah in western Iran and Turkey's Isparta city was inaugurated on Friday morning.

Shorafaei underlined that “the flight has been launched to provide services to travelers during the Iranian New Year holidays (Nowruz).”

The official further reported on a 62-percent increase in Kermanshah airport’s flights in the second half of the current Iranian calendar year compared with the first half; “on average, a total 104 flights are launched per week at Shahid Ashrafi Airport.”

The Iranian New Year holidays will start on March 20 when the new Iranian calendar year (1395) will begin.

Caspian Airlines carries passengers from Kermanshah in western Iran to Isparta and vice versa during Norouz.

Isparta is the capital city of Isparta province in western Turkey and is also known as the 'City of Roses'.
