Iranian cartoonist wins third prize of Brazilian festival
TEHRAN -- Iranian cartoonist Vahid Jafari was awarded with the third prize at the First International Humor Graphic contest BH-Humor 2009.
The International Exhibition of Graphic Humor in Belo Horizonte runs from September 11 to 18 in Belo Horizonte in Brazil.
Rumi band to give concerts in Europe
TEHRAN -- Rumi band accompanied by the vocalist Alireza Qorbani will tour Europe starting October 1.
Conducted by Javid Afsari, the band will give concerts in Sweden, Norway, Switzerland and Spain.
The pieces that have been composed by Afsari will be performed in two sections during the concerts, Qorbani told MNA.
