US full support for Israel ‘root of insecurity in region'

TEHRAN, Jan. 17 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has said that the full-scale cooperation of Biden and the White House with thugs like Netanyahu is the "root of insecurity in the region".

In an interview with CNBC News on the sidelines of the Davos 2024 Summit in Switzerland, Amir-Abdollahian warned the US not to “tie their destiny” to the fate of Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu who is at war with the Palestinian Resistance movement.

Tehran wants the US to stop the war in Gaza, he said, stressing that security in the Red Sea is important to his country.

Referring to the latest developments in the Red Sea and Yemen's Ansarullah actions, the top Iranian diplomat noted, “The people of Yemen and other countries in the region who defend the Palestinian people are acting according to their own experience and through their own interests, and they are not receiving any orders or instructions from us.”

Amir-Abdollahian reiterated that Iran believes that any action to destabilize the region is rooted in the Israeli regime and its genocide in Gaza.
