Iran beats Germany 3-2 at home

TEHRAN, Jun. 25 (MNA) – The national Iranian men’s volleyball beat Germany 3-2 in the Volleyball Nations League 2018 on Sunday, as their last game of the tournament.

Iran secured its last Volleyball Nations League (VNL) win, defeating Germany 3-2 (25-20 25-23 25-22 25-22 15-11).

This deserved victory in front of the fanatical supporters in Azadi Stadium was Igor Kolakovic’s side's final game, with a 6-8 record in the VNL. 

Iran had defeated Bulgaria and South Korea 3-1 in its two previous matches on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

The Iranian men's national volleyball squad maintains its position at the 10th in VNL ranking.

The 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League kicked off on May 25, and will run through July 8 in 22 host cities. 

A total of 16 teams compete in a round-robin format with every core team hosting a pool at least once.
