Members of Mauritania Parliamentary Friendship Group met with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs on their visit to Iran. During this meeting mutual relations as well as Arabic-Islamic developments and the conditions in North Africa were discussed.
Conveying greetings of Mauritania foreign minister, Chairman of Mauritania Parliamentary Friendship Group, Mohammad Fall, asked for practical measures to remove the obstacles in the way of Iran- Mauritania cooperation stressing that parliamentary cooperation between two countries would strengthen the mutual cooperation.
Referring to the commonalities between the two countries of Iran and Mauritania, Iranian official, for his part, assessed Mauritania Parliamentary Friendship Group’s efforts and initiative a successful step towards strengthening relations between the two countries underlining the need for further consultations between the friendship groups as well as the parliaments of two countries in regional and international circles in order to achieve common goals.
