In their last match on Wednesday, Ali Arezoumendi’s men defeated Syria 103-31 and earned the second rank of the event.
The 2018 edition of WABA U16 Championship was held with national teams of Iran, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria in attendance. The event kicked off on Saturday in Iran’s Northern city of Gorgan and ended on August 2.
Lebanon claimed the title and Iran, Syria, Jordan and Iraq stood at second, third, fourth and fifth places, respectively.
The Iranian team won all their games except the match against Lebanon on Tuesday, thus finishing second.
