Little Progress for Meeting on Climate Change in Paris

In a speech about the issue three months ahead of the event, Hollande said there has been progress in raising awareness about global warming and that climate nationalism does not make sense, because isolation is not possible.
French president insisted on the need to limit global warming to a maximum of two degrees and financing for adaptation to climate change.
He recalled that so far, 60 countries have made their contributions, of the 196 expected to do it.
“What they decide in the 21st session of the Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP21) will involve the world for several decades,” he remarked.
