Iran’s “Flow” to compete in Houston Film Festival

TEHRAN, Apr. 16 (MNA) -- Iranian director Alireza Chitachi’s film “Flow” is to compete in the short film section of the 38th Houston International Film Festival, which is to be held from April 22 to May 1 in Houston, Texas.

The festival includes short film, video, and feature-length movie sections.

 

“Farmer and Cow” directed by Fatemeh Gudarzi and “Once Again Rain” by Ali Vazirian are the two other Iranian entries to the short film section, and “Album” by Reza Heydarnejad will be screened in the feature-length film section.

 

The animation film “Shangul and Mangul” by Farkhondeh Torabi previously won an award at the festival.

 

The festival receives entries from all over the world which compete in 12 major categories. According to festival director Kathleen Haney, approximately 22,000 local and international film fans will attend the 10-day event.
