Nouri Al-Maleki Urges MEK Immediate Dismissal from Iraq

TEHRAN, Jun. 22 (MNA) – Iraqi Prime Minister urged the UN to make a final decision about MEK by ordering the dismissal of the terrorist group.

According to Alquds Al-Arabi, Nouri AlMaliki, the Iraqi Prime Minister urged the UN special envoy,United Nations Assistance Mission, UNAIM, in Baghdad to immediately take action in order to oust the terrorist group, MEK, from Iraq.

Nouri Al Maliki said that in a meeting with Martin Kobler, UNAIM's head in Iraq, the UN had promised to take action on immediate removal of MEK remains, but so far the UN has taken no concrete action.

Kobler who represents Banki Moon in Iraq said the members of MEK should urgently leave Iraq and this should be carried out based on an agreement between Iraq and the UN.

Finally he addressed Kobler saying: "We had a great cooperation with UN while you were heading the UNAIM in Iraq and I hope such cooperation will continue in the time of your successor."
