Upon entering the university premises, Leader of the Islamic Revolution paid homage to the Tomb of the Unidentified Martyrs in commemoration of the fallen soldiers of the eight-year Iraqi Imposed War, known as the Sacred Defense (1980-1988). The Leader prayed to God to bestow upon them the most elevated stature.
Speaking to student officers and guards trainees on Saturday, Leader stressed "as a result of patience and piety, the hostile enemies, despite all their prepared cunning, won’t be able to do a thing against you.
This is [an advice] for all the nation, in particular officials and managers of the Islamic society. Patience means keeping to aims and continuing involvement and active presence; it means considering far future goals.
Because you are resisting today, future generations will reach the climax of success; they will reach the climax, but dignity and resistance are yours, he said, adding the Revolution is lasting and promising in case of patience and piety.
If patience and piety are practised by our dear youth, government officials and all the people, the enemy will by no means be able to damage you."
Pointing to power components of the Islamic Establishment, and recalling the British and American domination over Iran during 57 years of Pahlavi regime, Ayatollah Khamenei said “after the victory f Islamic Revolution, Iranian nation were freed from chains of dictatorship and felt the true taste of independence and freedom.
Ayatollah Khamenei added "the main reason for the authority of the Iranian people is that one of the most ruthless and brutal powers of the world, i.e. the United States, has spared no efforts to confront the Iranian people for the last 40 years, but has failed to apply its plots, while making Iranian nation more advanced than ever."
'National power' does not lie in giving a nation’s money to another country and buy weapons. It is not to move a nation from across the world to another place to open a hub for supporting a regime sucking on people’s blood in. This is not National power. It is foolishness and humiliation. National power emerges from the heart of a nation, he noted.
Had the Iranian nation not been powerful, a 10th of enemies’ efforts today would be enough to topple nation’s popular government, Ayatollah Khamenei said.
One more proof to Iran’s power is the coalitions US formed in the region. If the US had the power to defeat the Islamic Republic, they wouldn’t need to ally with the disgraceful states in ME to create chaos and insecurity in Iran.
Six US presidents before the current one also made efforts but failed to achieve their vicious goals. Today after losing hope in other methods, the enemy’s conspiracy is to create a gap between the Establishment and the nation. But that’s foolish; they don’t understand that the establishment is nothing but the nation.
