“Large turnout in polling stations is a sign of nation’s will to preserve the Islamic Revolution,” said Ayatollah Kazem Seddighi on Friday February 26, addressing the worshippers in Tehran.
He reiterated “Islamic Republic of Iran is based on republic and Islamic thought; elections are a guarantee for protecting the establishment to remain an Islamic Republic and Iranian nation is the real winner of elections.”
“People’s presence is a sign that the Islamic Republic is stable and institutionalized and the Leader’s careful monitoring and detection of risk positions as well as his timely warnings remain as indicators of the Revolution’s religious strength,” he continued.
Ayatollah Seddighi went on to add that “in many countries, an artificial republicanism exists while the people are not involved in their destiny and parties are winners and losers; however, in our country the nation is the winner due to its massive presence in decision-making occasions.”
Recommending people to cast their votes, Seddighi touched upon the enemy’s plans for infiltration; “previously, the enemy tried in vain to disappoint people from participating in the elections bringing up the issue of ‘fraud’ on the grounds that the PMs have already been chosen; now, upon the implementation of JCPOA, the enemy has concentrated on infiltration and thus is trying to influence decision-making centers in order to change the destiny of our country.”
Hojjatoleslam Kazem Seddighi further enumerated three methods of infiltration incorporated by the enemies; “one issue is the misuse of terms like ‘moderates’, ‘radicals’ or ‘extremists’ while the other technique would be sending spies or foreign agents who change the minds of officials separating them from the nation.”
“Islam has always been dealing with the risk of hypocrites and intrusions while the third threat is to transform the views of Revolutionary people,” he emphasized. “The enemy has taken up the plan to gradually change the thoughts and beliefs of Iranians.”
Tehran's interim Friday prayer leader further appreciated the Guardian Council, the Interior Ministry, security forces and election authorities and the nation concluding that “Iran enjoys complete peace and security unlike troubled countries in the region like Syria, Yemen and Turkey.”
