Anamis Steel Complex to be launched within months

MINAB, Dec. 05 (MNA) – Announcing that Anamis Steel Complex offers a great opportunity to the province, chairman of Hormozgan Association of Parliamentarians said the project will become operational by the end of Iranian calendar year.

Seyed Abdolkarim Hashemi referred to the strategic location of the city of Minab and the development of Makran coast deeming the existence of small and large companies and industries in the region as the trigger for the launch of the industry cycle; “extension of Makran coast can lead to a huge transformation in the East of Hormozgan province,” he noted.

He underlined Anamis Steel Complex as a great capacity in the region adding “we are making efforts to make the complex operational by the end of the Iranian year and the company will carry out projects in two sections of molding and rolling under the supervision of German companies SMS and KOCH H&K.”

Emphasizing the need for expediting the construction of the complex, Hashemi said “the execution of the project has been stipulated to last for 30 months as of the LC opening date.”

“The complex is being constructed in an area of 110 hectares with a 7-kilometer distance from the sea,” he explained.

The official said the project aims to produce an annual target of one million tons of steel sections; “the complex will manufacture iron rails for the repairing of existing lines with a speed of 100 to 400 kilometers per hour for the development of railways as well as exports,” maintained Hashemi.

The complex will also produce I and H-shaped beams of wide and half-wide models in 16 to 60 sizes, which are currently import products, for building and bridge construction uses.

“The funding for the projects is supplied form the National Development Fund and will be more than 220 million euros,” he stressed.

Hashemi concluded that “the direct employment rate of the projects will be 1005 people while it will indirectly offer jobs to 10000 people.”
