Iranian inventors sit second in Geneva

TEHRAN, Apr. 9 (MNA) -– A delegation of 28 young Iranian inventors acquired the second place in the 34th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, the Persian service of ISNA reported on Sunday.

Malaysia and Russia, with 140 and 72 designs respectively, won 120 and 61 medals in that order and the Iranian team, presenting 71 inventions, grabbed 63 gold, silver and bronze in total.

 

The teams vied in 22 fields such as electronics, computer science, agriculture and so on in this event being held from April 5-9, 2006. Sponsored by a non-governmental institute, 25 men and three females from Iran participated in this 5-day exhibition.
