2nd group of Iranians stranded in Azerbaijan Republic return home

TEHRAN, Apr. 26 (MNA) – The second group of Iranian nationals stranded in the Azerbaijan Republic due to the deadly global outbreak of the novel coronavirus arrived in Iran on Sunday morning.

The second group of Iranian nationals, who had been stranded in the Azerbaijan Republic due to the closure of borders as a precautionary measure against the COVID-19 outbreak, returned home through the Astara border.

The first group of Iranian students, including 142 ones, arrived in Tehran on 18 April.

The borders of Iran and the Azerbaijan Republic have been closed since March 1 in order to counter the outbreak of the coronavirus.
