Iraq seeks to ‘be a bridge’ between Iran, US

TEHRAN, Aug. 30 (MNA) – Iraqi PM’s security adviser Qassim al-Araji said that Baghdad seeks to ‘be a bridge’ between Iran and the US.

Iraq has a “good relationship” with Iran and the US and it seeks to “be a bridge” for communication to reach an agreement that guarantees the right of the entire region, the Iraqi PM’s security adviser Qassim al-Araji said in a recent interview with Al Jazeera.

He also reportedly added that Iran emphasised the necessity of removing extremist groups from Iraq.
