A 13-member Iranian student team has clinched three coveted titles at a prestigious global robotics competition in China, showcasing the technical prowess, ingenuity and creativity of the country’s young robotics enthusiasts.
The Robotics Challenge 2026 brought together teams from 48 countries, with Iran competing alongside leading robotics contenders including China, Russia, Romania, Japan, Germany and South Korea.
Over three days, the Iranian team competed across six leagues: Rescue, Line Follower, Creativity, Rugby, Applied Engineering Design, and Technical Report.
The Iranian team secured second place in the Technical Report category, third place in the Creativity category for students under 12, and third place in Robot Rugby.
