The Leader also stressed the need to remain vigilant and avoid any kind of disunity.
“Today, the greatest duty of Muslims, especially the ulema, scholars, and politicians, is to make efforts to strengthen the unity of Muslims, help promote Islamic vigilance, and avoid schisms in the Islamic world,” the Leader maintained.
On the importance of the al-Ghadir event, in which Prophet Muhammad (S) appointed Ali (AS), the first Imam of the Shias, as his successor, Ayatollah Khamenei said, “Such an important event must not be used as a pretext to sow discord between Muslims and weakening Islam.”
The enemy wants to turn the al-Ghadir issue into a vehicle to promote fratricide, war, and bloodshed among Muslims, he added.
