Veteran dubber Mahin Bozorgi dies

TEHRAN, June 14 (MNA) -- Iranian veteran dubber Mahin Bozorgi died at 74 in Tehran’s Resalat Hospital.

Born in 1935, she began her career when she was 21. She was also a renowned radio announcer.

 

 

Selby stories translated into Persian

 

TEHRNA -- The Persian version of Hubert Selby’s “Song of the Silent Snow” translated by Peyman Khaksar will be published in Iran in the near future.

 

Hubert Selby, Jr. (1928–2004) was a 20th century American writer. The book is a collection of 15 short stories written by Selby during his career.

 

 

Sa’adat translating Aristotle’s “Rhetoric”

 

TEHRAN -- Iranian translator Esmaeil Sa’adat is translating Aristotle’s “Rhetoric” into Persian.

 

He is translating it from the French and English versions of the book into Persian.

 

Aristotle’s “Rhetoric” is an ancient Greek treatise on the art of persuasion, dating from the fourth century BC.

 

 

Qashqai instruments to go on display at Tehran museum

 

TEHRAN -- The Qashqai musical instruments will go on display at Tehran’s Museum of Music in the near future.

 

A collection of Qashqai musical traditions including musical instruments, audio files and written documents were gathered as part of a project which began three months ago, music scholar Parvin Bahmani told MNA.
