SAIPA to introduce new Pride sedan

TEHRAN, Jan. 9 (MNA) –- A new passenger car, the Pride 132, will be introduced to Iran’s auto market next year (Iranian calendar year to start March 21, 2007), SAIPA Group announced on Tuesday.

The upcoming sedan is upgraded version of the current one with new design and improved mechanicals. It is also destined for SAIPA’s assembly lines in Syria and Venezuela, marketing director of the Iranian car manufacturer noted. “The product is intended to offer diversity and fresh look into the existing market and SAIPA’s lineups,” Nazemi continued.

Moreover, the production of decade-old model will continue as supply and demand is to define its longevity, he stipulated.

The higher class Xantia is also going to receive a facelift in the headlights and bumper areas, while the chassis remains untouched. The older design will still serve the market, Nazemi maintained.

The newcomers are not expected to see a drastic change in prices.
