Second Tehran-Tabriz-Istanbul train to become operational June 22

TEHRAN, June 13 (MNA) – The second passenger train to cover Tehran-Tabriz-Istanbul route will come on stream on June 22, announced the state railway company RAJA here Tuesday.

 

The route capacity will be doubled, Alireza Soleimani, who is heading the RAJA’s passenger trains agents, told the Persian service of IRNA.

 

“The first-class train has rooms for 210 people, said the official adding, “The Tabriz-Sharafkhaneh tourist-class train holding 460 travelers is to resume operation.

 

“Each compartment holds six occupants and the departure will be at 07:00 a.m. on Fridays from Tabriz.”

 

Tehran-Van-Istanbul is another active passenger and cargo transit route between Iran and Turkey. The path requires three days to cover.
