TEHRAN, March 11 (MNA) – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has donated 200 million rials to the poor people supported by the Imam Khomeini Relief Committee ahead of the new Iranian calendar year, which begins on March 20, the Persian service of IRNA reported on Sunday.
Imam Khomeini Relief Committee (also known as Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation) was founded in March 1979 as a charity organization to provide support to poor families. Its purpose is to help such families regain financial stability.
