Nine people died and 50 were injured, news agencies quoted Dutch airport officials as saying.
The Boeing 737-800 was Flight 1951 from Istanbul to Amsterdam.
The plane split into three parts when it hit the ground next to the runway around 10.40 a.m. local time. No fire broke out.
Reports emerged on Thursday that Turkish Airlines was accused last week of "inviting disaster" by ignoring aircraft maintenance.
According to CNN, Turkish Civil Aviation Union announced on its Web site on February 18 that Turkish Airlines "is ignoring the most basic function of flight safety, which is plane maintenance services."
"The company administration does not understand the consequences of ripping people from their jobs and inviting a disaster."
