17 year-old Alamiyan came second on Sunday after being beaten by Egyptian Omar Assar in the ITTF Junior Circuit which took place in Manama, Bahrain.
ITTF wrote on their official website, “A surprise result according to the statistical evidence available, but Iran is a growing force in table tennis. Certainly at junior level, they present formidable opposition with the left handed fast attacking skills of Noshad Alamiyan leading their quest for higher status.”
