TEHRAN, Jun. 15 (MNA) – "The Islamic Republic of Iran has by no means sent such a message, and this claim is basically false," the Iranian foreign ministry spokesman said after media claims on Iran's call for Cyprus mediation.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran has not sent any message to Israel through any country," Esmaeil Baghaei said in a post on X.

Baghaei was responding to a claim by the Cyprus Mail newspaper that had claimed that Iranian President Masoud Pezzekian asked the President of Southern Cyprus to convey a message to the Zionist regime.
