Israel furious over secrecy of US-Iran negotiations

TEHRAN, May 17 (MNA) – Israeli media have reported growing frustration among Tel Aviv officials over being excluded from the details of ongoing US-Iran talks, calling the lack of transparency a serious concern for Israel.

Israeli media outlets report mounting concern among officials in Tel Aviv over the secrecy surrounding ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran, stating that Israel has limited knowledge about the content of the talks.

According to Lebanon’s Al Mayadeen, citing Israel’s Channel 13, Israel is only receiving general information about the US-Iran talks, which is worrying for the regime.

The channel added that the Israeli regime is facing a serious issue — the Americans not only ignore their advice, but barely inform them of the negotiation details.

Iranian negotiators, led by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, engaged in a fourth round of discussions with an American delegation in Muscat on Sunday. The American team was headed by the US President’s Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.

Mediated by Oman, the talks have been described by both sides as productive and progressing well. The discussions are primarily focused on Iran’s nuclear program and the lifting of sanctions through a potential agreement to replace the 2015 landmark deal, which the US unilaterally withdrew from during Trump’s first term in office.
