Iranian envoy, Ashraf Ghani discuss mutual relations

TEHRAN, Dec. 07 (MNA) – Afghan President Ashraf Ghani received Iranian government's special envoy Ebrahim Taherian in Kabul on Saturday, where the two sides conferred on mutual relations and peace progress in Afghanistan

The Iranian diplomat said that Tehran supports the Afghan-led peace process.

He noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran honors the Afghanistan Constitution and also supports the country's talks with the Taliban.

Afghan President, for his part, said that peace and stability in his country equal regional stability which is of prime importance for Afghanistan.

Taherian will leave Afghanistan for Tehran on Saturday night.
