Kazakhstan condoles Rouhani on Tehran terror attacks

TEHRAN, Jun. 08 (MNA) – Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev in a telegram message extended his condolences to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in connection with terrorist acts in Tehran.

The Kazakhstan’s head of state expressed deep regret over “the many deaths and injuries as a result of the terrorist attacks in the country's parliament building and in the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini in Tehran”, and expressed his condolences to the families and friends of the victims on behalf of the people of Kazakhstan and on his own.

"We strongly condemn all acts of international terrorism and extremism, threatening peace and security. Kazakhstan is always ready to continue cooperation with Iran in the struggle against the threats of our times for the sake of peace and security of our countries,” the telegram message said.

On Wednesday, Iran’s parliament and mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini in Tehran were hit in near-simultaneous attacks that have killed 13 people and wounded 52 others, according to the head of Iran's Emergency Medical Services. Terrorist group ISIL has claimed responsibility for both attacks.
