Kirkuk governor talks with Kordestan’s trade official in Suleymaniye

 

SANANDAJ, Kordestan – The governor of Kirkuk Abdurrahman Mustafa asked for expansion of trade ties with Kordestan as he met the managing director of Kordestan’s International Exhibitions Co. Tofiq Rahimi in Suleymaniye.

 

“He came to Suleymaniye to visit Kordestan’s permanent exhibition,” Rahimi uttered, “He asked me whether it would be possible for us to set up a similar fairground in Kirkuk.” Rahimi invited private companies of the northern Iraqi city to take part in exhibitions that are to be held in Sanandaj. “A group of tradesmen from Kirkuk will visit building materials exhibition, which is to open on August 14 in Sanandaj.”

 

Iranian trade attaches gather in Tehran

 

TEHRAN – Several Iranian trade attaches have attended a three-day seminar in Tehran’s Permanent International Fairgrounds.

 

The gathering, which opened yesterday morning, is aimed at promoting exchange of trade and economic information between these officials. Trade attaches that work in Iran’s embassies in Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Iraq, Turkmenistan, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, France, UAE, UK, Russia and Uzbekistan have gathered here to give their mission reports. The seminar is organized by Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI).

 

KOYO-Shetab JV to steer L-90 cars

 

TEHRAN – The Argenteuil-based branch of the Japanese-American Corporation KOYO Seiko will help Shetab Kar Company to make steering wheels for L-90 cars.

 

Koyo Seiko is a leading manufacturer of ball and roller bearings for a variety of automotive and industrial equipment manufacturers. Koyo’s primary mission, as a recognized leader in the bearing industry, is to pioneer advancements in bearing design and performance, as well as, assist customers with meeting their specialized bearing application needs.

 

Aerodynamic cabins for combines made in Arak

 

ARAK, Markazi Province – A mass production line was set up in Arak Combine Manufacturing Co. for making aerodynamic cabins.

 

The Aerodynamic Cabin 1165 was made by a team of university students in this central city. “The project, which has cost us Rls.30 million, took 3 months to complete,” said the project manager Ramin Narimani. A similar foreign cabin is now being sold at 10,000 euro in the international markets, he said, implying that mass production of these cabins will result in saving 500 million dollars a year. “With some slight changes, the cabins will be installable on trucks.”

 

Iranian students invent robot spray gun 

 

TEHRAN – A 3-member team of students at Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) has invented a robot spray gun, which can be used for painting cars.

 

The team spent four months on the 50-million-rial project. The robot can recognize different surfaces, simulate the suitable type of paint and spray paint over cars. The robot uses 20 photoelectric cells, a CPU and two mechanical arms to identify its target.
