LatAm Children to read book on Prophet Muhammad

TEHRAN, Aug. 25 (MNA) – In time with the screening of Majid Majidi’s film Muhammad: The Messenger of God, the book My Friend the Spider will also be published by Lighthouse Publishing Company to introduce Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to Latin American children.

Lighthouse, a Spanish-speaking group of children and young adults publishing companies, has announced the publication of Babak Saberi’s book My Friend the Spider in order to make Latin American children familiar with Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

The book tells the story of the Prophet trip from Mecca to Medina during which he had to hide in a cave. The Prophet (PBUH) had hidden himself in the cave for three days while pagans were in search of him everywhere. Spiders covered the cave entrance with their web and pigeons laid eggs there. Whoever saw the scene would think that it was not passed by anyone for years and the cave looked empty of all creatures.

By focusing on the talks and efforts of the spider and the pigeons to rescue the best person of the world, the story attempts to distance itself from the religious structure, and in so doing, it has succeeded to illustrate a beautiful portrait of the Prophet (PBUH) for children and teenagers.

The publication of this book, which is a response to the defamation of the Prophet (PBUH), was delayed for some time, but with financial support of a number of donors in Yazd, it was published for the Latin American children in time with the release of the movie Muhammad: The Messenger of God directed by Majid Majidi.
