TEHRAN, Jun. 06 (MNA) – News sources on Monday reported that a huge blast has hit the Lebanese capital of Beirut.

The explosion took place in Beirut's Qasqas region, Lebanon 24 reported.

Local eyewitnesses said that thick smoke was seen in the sky after the sound of a loud explosion was heard in the area.

Security sources announced that the cause of the explosion was a fire in a power generator which was spread to a diesel tank.
