TEHRAN, Apr. 26 (MNA) – Russian and Syrian presidents have held a phone conversation to discuss Russian vaccine supplies to Syria and cooperation against COVID-19.

According to a statement by Kremlin, during a phone call on Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Syria's President Bashar al-Assad discussed Russian vaccine supplies to Syria and cooperation against COVID-19.

Reuters cited a readout of the phone conversation as saying that Assad had told Putin about preparations ahead of a presidential election in May.
