TEHRAN, Apr. 30 (MNA) – Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman has condemned the terrorist attacks in Kabul on Monday, calling on the world community to fight against terrorism seriously to bring security to the region and Afghanistan.

In a statement on Monday afternoon, Bahram Ghasemi strongly condemned today’s twin terrorist bombings in Afghan capital Kabul, expressing his sympathy with the survivors and the families of the victims.

Ghasemi stated “the stability of the region, including Afghanistan, requires the international community to join efforts in fighting against terrorism seriously.”

The Iranian foreign ministry spokesman went on to add that terrorists are guided by certain centers, aiming to spread intimidation and instability in the region by targeting innocent citizens.

At the end, Ghasemi hoped that the terrorists and their sponsors will not reach their goals.

According to the reports, the two explosions during rush hour on Monday morning in the Shash Darak area of the Afghan capital have so far killed at least 29 people, including 9 journalists, and wounded 49 others.

The terrorist ISIL group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
