TEHRAN, Jun. 13 (MNA) – Commander of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said Tue. that accurate intelligence points to Saudi Arabia’s complicity in June 7 terrorist attacks on Tehran, killing 17 people and injuring dozens of others.

IRGC commander Maj. Gen. Mohammad Ali Jafari said the United States and the Israeli regime had backed the ISIL terrorists who carried out dual attacks on Iran’s parliament and Imam Khomeini shrine on June 7.

“We have obtained accurate intelligence that Saudi Arabia had also supported the terrorists and asked them to carry out attacks in Iran,” he added.

On June 7, Iran’s parliament and mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini in Tehran were hit in near-simultaneous attacks that killed 17 people and wounded 52 others. Terrorist group ISIL claimed responsibility for both attacks, but Saudi ties to Wahhabi terrorists were also noted by Iranian officials. Prior to the attacks, Saudi defense minister, Mohammad bin Salman, threatened to take the battle inside Iran’s territory. Saudi officials however have denied any role in the attacks on Tehran.
